“In early February, 2010 I applied to sponsor my long distance partner. My partner was rejected by the Canadian embassy in an East Asian country. Because of the rejection I contacted Marianne who reviewed the application. Since the sponsorship was for a same sex conjugal partner I was somewhat apprehensive to continue with the case.
